Crafty Lady

In case you were wondering, all of my friends are extremely talented and wonderful people. My New York City Bestie Amber, is no exception.

She started this amazing company: http://www.amberink.com/

(aren't we lovely?)

We had a kick-off party at the apartment, which turned out to be the best morning of brunching and crafting!! We made some amazing cards and stationary. I gathered some great ideas for scrapbooking as well. So much fun!

Check out the rest of our fun projects on her website! http://www.amberink.com/

It's like quilting bee's for the new generation! Happy crafting!

What’s my age again?

I’m confused about my age. I am horrified at my aging.

When did I become an… ADULT? I actually hate that word. It’s creepy. I remember the day that I discovered I didn’t like it. Heather and I were living in Las Vegas. Living there, we had become accustomed to seeing things like advertisements for “Adult Stores” an “Adult Movies”. Everything gross and pornographic had the word “adult” attached to it. One day, Heather and I were grocery shopping at Food 4 Less (not our usual shopping spot, I don’t know why we were there) and I wanted to get a box of Honey Bunches of Oats. I was scanning the aisles and I found it… “ADULT CEREAL” It left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Anyways…not what I wanted to blog about, getting to the point.

I thought that being a grown-up(much better word choice) would feel different somehow. I thought that by now I should be listening to jazz music, eating sushi, discussing my 401k, and argue about philosophy with all of my pantsuit friends. (Clearly things that grown-ups do). But no… I talk about teenage vampires, eat hot dogs, and listen to pop music. I’m actually watching Harry Potter as I blog right now, on my pink laptop.

I’m not really ashamed of this. It’s just different than what I expected.

On that note, here are some pictures of my immature happenings. Enjoy!

In the battle of vampires vs. werewolves, let there be no confusion as to what team I am on. This was taken the night of our double feature. Just days before Eclipse came out.

This was taken at the theater for the midnight showing of Eclipse! (Our shirts say Newborn Army)

Bananagrams! This is my most favorite game... EVER! I'm completely obsessed with this game. It's so much fun! This was one of my favorite rounds (for obvious reasons)

I just realized I never blogged about my Paris trip! Well this is me doing the can-can outside of the Moulin Rouge.

Funny Story

So today I was on riding the subway home from work and this girl comes on the train and sits next to me... wearing the exact same dress as me!
This is no subtle dress either. It's a blue wrap around dress, covered with all of these white circles (purchased from H&M 3 years ago). She has no idea. She sidles down in the seat next to me and I lean over and say, "Nice dress." We subsequently start cracking up over this hilarious situation. Then we go back to reading our novels and ignoring eachother. Ha! Meanwhile, I am certain that everyone on the train is thinking what's up with these doublemint twins? It reminded me of this: http://improveverywhere.com/2008/07/06/human-mirror/

Anyways, just thought I'd share!

I bet you don't think I blog anymore, do you!
Well one of these days I hope to catch you up on my adventures with Coney Island, vampires, the world cup, dancing and traveling.
One day...
